Robinson Roofing Group in Dublin: Mark Chamberlain crowned IBO World Champion
Robinson Roofing Group was proud to stand with Portsmouth’s Mark “Thunder” Chamberlain as co-main sponsor on fight week in Dublin, as he challenged for the IBO Super Lightweight World Title at the 3Arena on 1 August 2026.
We attended the pre-fight press conference and, although only a small contingent of Portsmouth supporters was present, the backing for Chamberlain was unmistakable.
The city travelled with him in spirit. Portsmouth was firmly behind the champion, flying the flag on one of the biggest stages of his career.
On fight night, Chamberlain produced a performance of real character. Facing unbeaten home favourite Pierce O’Leary in front of a capacity Dublin crowd, he dropped his opponent in the early rounds, was himself knocked down in the seventh, then recovered to force a tenth-round stoppage and claim the IBO world title.
The result moved him to 18–1–1 and delivered a first professional defeat for O’Leary.
The partnership reflects values we share with Mark: precision, resilience and the pursuit of excellence. His journey from plasterer on the south coast to world champion is a reminder of what commitment and craft can achieve — the same standards we bring to every project.
